A Space All Your Own
(ARA) -With as many home design shows as there are paint colors, America's love affair with decorating continues to grow. Creating rooms with a unique sense of style tops many homeowners' wish lists. But with everyone looking for the same products, how can you make your home a reflection of you?
Imagine starting your day gazing out from the Paris caf you visited on your honeymoon, or gathering your family at their favorite vacation spot each night. Wake up to your flower garden in full bloom, even in December! Thanks to new strides in software and printing technology, homeowners are discovering a new way to personalize their rooms and create a one-of-a-kind environment.
Murals My Way from Environmental Graphics enables consumers to use their own images and turn them into wall murals. "Personalizing spaces with custom images is a new option for consumers, and it's gathering a lot of attention," says Todd Imholte, president of Environmental Graphics. "We can create custom-sized murals using vacation photos, your child's artwork, family portraits, just about anything."
Artist Linda Brandt uses Murals My Way to bring her creations to a wider range of clients. "I was approached by a builder to create murals for a new development, but their budget and time restrictions didn't allow me to hand paint each one. I came across Murals My Way, and it has been a wonderful experience," she says. "The installation time is very quick. The murals are of such high quality, the details of the image -- even individual brushstrokes -- come through. I love that they're so easy to maintain -- and the cost is about 1/10 of me hand-painting a mural."
With two collections to choose from in addition to custom work, homeowners will have no trouble finding an image they love at a price and size that works for them.
The Standard Collection series of more than 20 murals is available in 8-foot by 13-foot sizes and is found at retailers nationwide. These murals are an easy project for homeowners to tackle themselves using basic wall-covering tools and only take a few hours to install.
The Gallery Collection allows customers to choose images from a vast library of images, including both illustrations and photographs. Popular choices are skylines from cities around the world and inviting garden scenes. You can even enjoy works by the great masters -- from the Mona Lisa to Monet's lanscapes. By visiting the company's Web site, customers can select the image and have it printed to their exact size specifications -- gallery murals begin at 4 feet by 6 feet, and can be printed as large as a customer wishes.
"With more than 35 years of experience, we can help homeowners bring their rooms to life," says Imholte. "The wide range of options now available means that creating a truly personalized space is within everyone's reach."
