What is Thermilate?
Thermilate is a revolutionary, durable paint additive that makes paint insulate, which was originally developed by NASA – and cuts energy costs by up to 25%, by reducing heating times. In hot countries it reduces the cooling times by up to 40%
“Thermilate composite was developed by our engineers as part of the NASA technology exchange programme and enhanced in 1996-1998. It has been Independently tested and scientifically proven by world leading labs and government bodies.”
Thermilate has also featured on TV and a very popular BBC science programme.

Why use Thermilate?
Most Thermilate users already using it within the UK in their own homes have made savings in temperature of up to 3 degrees centigrade. We have so many testimonials from satisfied customers within the UK and around the world, all saying the same thing, they really cannot believe the results they have achieved, and savings they have made.
(Did you know, for every 1 degree centigrade the thermostat is reduced, you could save around £46 per year on energy bills, based upon an average 3 bedroom home)
Thermilate should recover the cost for itself, from the savings on your heating bill within the first year, after that it should be just savings year after year.
Thermilate is rapidly expanding and becoming one of the fastest growing energy saving technologies available in today’s market.

In the UK an average annual household energy bill has increased from around £600 to around £1083, that’s a huge increase of around £450 per year. These costs will continue to increase year after year.
A huge amount of energy, around 33% of heat lost in your home is through your walls, so insulating them can be one of the most cost effective ways to save energy and reduce heating bills in your home. (Source www.est.org.uk)
(That’s like buying £100 worth of food from the supermarket, coming home and throwing £33 worth of food in the bin every time. You wouldn’t do that with your food, so why do it with your energy?)
The only way to really save money on your heating bills now, is to stop wasting your energy, through your walls and ceilings.

Other uses for Thermilate
- Thermilate also dramatically reduces condensation problems. Because, it warms up the wall, it reduces the formation of water droplets on the wall, therefore reducing condensation.
- You will also be doing your bit for the environment, by reducing your CO2 emissions. You’ll be wasting and using less energy. The average home generates around 6 tonnes of CO2 emissions, Thermilate could help you reduce this./li>
- In hot countries Thermilate is used on the exterior of buildings in order to reflect heat back out, and keep the inside cooler, a saving of up to 40% in energy could be made when used in this situation.
- Thermilate can be used almost anywhere you can apply paint, the uses are endless. Thermilate is not only used on buildings, it is also used commercially on cement mixers, furnaces, pipes, ships/yachts etc etc many more to reduce energy use.
Some Thermilate facts
Thermilate can be mixed with almost all paints/coatings. It is completely safe to use, inert, non toxic, and environmentally friendly.
Thermilate does not affect the paint's adhesion, useful service life or colour. It has a very high melting point (1800 degrees Celsius) so therefore also improves the fire retardant properties of surfaces.*
THERMILATE reduces the insulative demands placed on conventional insulation which may have been poorly installed or have deteriorated due to dampness or age.
Sometimes upgrading the inner - wall or ceiling insulation in older or poorly insulated buildings can be an expensive, sometimes impossible task and one which may be too expensive to consider.
The ability of THERMILATE to be easily and inexpensively applied to walls and ceilings in the form of an insulating paint additive which creates a thermal barrier is a superior method for the homeowner to utilize, in order to maximize the energy efficiency of a home or building.
Thermilate is colourless, odourless, inert, does not burn and does not support combustion.
It does not reduce paint coverage and will improve the flame retardant properties of the surface to which it is applied.*
*Thermilate has been tested by the National Standards Testing Laboratory who certify that Thermilate has thermal conductivity of 0.061 kcal/m.h.C (0.1 W/m/ Deg Celsius) Refractive Index 1.53; a melting point of 1800 degrees Celsius and maximum heat resistance of 20.
